Orkas is an open-source, local-first desktop AI workspace for people who need a finished report, document, presentation, code change or creative asset. Give Commander a goal and relevant project files; it plans the work and coordinates specialist agents through one conversation.

For a market review, bring approved source files and decision criteria into a project. Ask the team to collect evidence, compare alternatives and prepare a cited brief with supporting files. Review the sources, assumptions and output before using the recommendation. The same project can keep instructions, memory, Library sources and reusable skills for later work.

Use supported model providers with your own API keys, compatible local models, or Orkas-managed models. Project files and outputs stay local by default; enabled model requests and connected services follow their own data paths.
